A rough overview
-
Our starting point is our initial consultation. Here, we take a detailed case history and assess any test results that you may have to see how best to start managing your health goals. This session will consist of a variety of questions, covering a wide span of your physical and emotional wellbeing over the course of your life. This gives us the best possible start to assessing your health needs.
-
There’s no change without follow-ups! Follow-up consultations vary in length and frequency depending on the needs of the client(s) at the time. Phone, Telehealth or in-person, follow-ups are a check in to assess progress, review any tests and/or collate more information if there wasn’t enough time in the initial appointment.
-
We utilise routine testing ordered by your doctor to inform our starting point. Then, we can assess if further testing, particularly functional testing like OAT and DUTCH tests, are clinically applicable at this time. For complex cases, OATs are a gold-standard functional test providing valuable insight into a patient’s wellbeing.
-
For most complex cases, supplements are a key component to therapeutic action, but overdoing them is counter productive to our cause. Minimal and targeted supplements is the aim to get remediation of symptoms, with most supplements being used for a period of time until we’ve achieved the desired therapeutic affect.

FAQs
How Often are Follow Up consults?
It very much depends on the case. Usually, follow up consults are 2-4 weeks apart in the beginning, for about 2 sessions after the initial appointment. This helps to get clients on track and feeling the rhythm of their treatment. From here, follow ups are spaced out, typically to every 3 months for a while and then onto an as needed basis. This is the ideal, smooth scenario, but we all know that life does not move in a straight line. This is why I keep things flexible, and don’t have a strict plan and timeframe for my clients. Real nutrition therapy is personal - not a strict X week plan.
How long are follow up consults?
Follow-up consult lengths are customised to the needs of the client. Some sessions only need to be 15 minutes, others might need 45 - it’s totally dependent on the needs and complexities in the case.
Initial consults and follow-up consults for couples/family sessions are always allocated a longer time slot.
What does “diet modification” look like?
Diet modification can look a variety of ways depending on the context. For some, diet modification is simply tweaking ratios of foods already in the diet. For others, it might be cutting out foods with the idea of challenging which foods, cooking methods and lifestyle circumstances are most impactful. This process is informed by the patient’s physical and mental health, lifestyle and test results.
What is covered in the Cost?
There’s a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into consult work - research, planning, documenting - and all of this takes significant time. When you book an appointment, imagine I’m working 2-3x your appointment time length on your case - this is about how long it takes to do the background work to provide you with the best possible recommendations and treatment plan for your specific circumstances.
